  • We hold our school to the highest safety, cleanliness and maintenance standards. The building is accessible via a single-entry security system with keypad access. There's daily sign in and out for each child. And we follow strict parent/guardian identification procedures. We also regularly inspect our building and playground to ensure that your child is safe and secure with us.

  • We designed our playground to appeal to your child’s boundless curiosity. There’s a greenhouse and raised beds for growing flowers and vegetables. Outdoor instruments like drums and marimbas for creating an imaginary band. A stage for putting on plays. And sand and shallow water areas for digging and making sand castles. All of our outdoor activities balance teacher-led instruction with plenty of free play.

  • The Grove School's building was deliberately redesigned to foster increased learning while being environmentally conscious. We use natural light wherever possible, which improves concentration and conserves energy. Recycled rubber flooring, sustainably harvested materials and low-VOC paint make the school a healthy place to learn while reducing our impact on the planet. We also filter both the air and water.

It was a beautiful day here in Cary, North Carolina for out Pre-K Branching Out Ceremony!

Children proudly wore their Grove School class t-shirts and shades, to remind them just how truly bright their futures are!  We are SO PROUD of our Pre-K students and their exciting journey ahead in Kindergarten.  We know, without a doubt, that they are more than ready : )

I love going into classrooms and looking at our walls!

There are so many wonderful displays throughout the school highlighting all the creative and imaginative work our students do each and every day.  What amazes me all the time are the pictures that students make themselves, the words they write, and the answers they give to life’s many questions.

By displaying work that children create themselves, it builds confidence, pride, and a sense that what they create is of value and importance.  Here are just a few examples of how The Grove School of Cary shows our students that their learning here is of the utmost value!

This month is teacher apreciation month here at the Grove School of Plano. Each day we are taking a moment to express how important each of our teachers are to us and the families we serve. Last week our parents hosted a variety of activities such as a teachers breakfast, snack-o-rama day and our very own teacher luncheon. The day of the teachers luncheon each teacher was presented with a special gift basket that all of their parents donated items for. The teachers were so surprised and felt so appreicated! The parents also  took a moment to share how special their child’s teacher is to them by writing a special note. Each note placed on each teachers classroom “I inspire Learning” posters for the teachers to view. The messages were so heartfelt and brought some teachers to tears.

A huge Thank You to all of the families for all that you did to make this month a very special time for our team!

It was such a treat to have all of the wonderful ladies in our student’s lives come and visit us for a special afternoon at The Grove School of Cary!

We served refreshments of fresh cut strawberries, ladyfingers and lemonade.  Each classroom had a special project planned for the event including planting flowers in recycled baby food jars, recycled jewelry making, recycled sun catchers, and recycled cardboard picture frame decorating.  Thank you to all the lovely ladies that attended!

Our infant room is finally up and running and we have enjoyed it so much!  We have been spending time getting to know our new infants and helping them adjust and socialize with each other.  With our curriculum being individualized to each child, it has given us a chance to truly focus on the needs and skill level of the child and help them succeed in their own way.  They have been doing great and it is so fun to watch them grow on a daily basis!

In strands we are discussing different types of insects and arachnids as well as learning about the seasons through songs, pictures, games, and understanding graphs.  It is spring, and because of the beautiful weather we have been going outside much more to work on our garden and compost pile! We are also learning some new yoga poses and I will have the children learn Tai Chi so we can learn to move our bodies like nature.  One of the most exciting aspects this month about strands is the preschool classes will be putting on a play at the end of the month called “How Crocodile Got A Bumpy Back”! The pre-kindergarten class is working together to write their own dialogue for the Ashanti tale “Anansi and Turtle”!

This is a very exciting month.
