We're looking for rare individuals. Teachers with degrees in early childhood or environmental education and a fire in the belly to make a difference. Administrators with a head for business and a heart for helping children reach their full potential. • We hold our school to the highest safety, cleanliness and maintenance standards. The building is accessible via a single-entry security system with keypad access. There's daily sign in and out for each child. And we follow strict parent/guardian identification procedures. We also regularly inspect our building and playground to ensure that your child is safe and secure with us.

  • We designed our playground to appeal to your child’s boundless curiosity. There’s a greenhouse and raised beds for growing flowers and vegetables. Outdoor instruments like drums and marimbas for creating an imaginary band. A stage for putting on plays. And sand and shallow water areas for digging and making sand castles. All of our outdoor activities balance teacher-led instruction with plenty of free play.

  • The Grove School's building was deliberately redesigned to foster increased learning while being environmentally conscious. We use natural light wherever possible, which improves concentration and conserves energy. Recycled rubber flooring, sustainably harvested materials and low-VOC paint make the school a healthy place to learn while reducing our impact on the planet. We also filter both the air and water.

It was such a treat to have all of the wonderful ladies in our student’s lives come and visit us for a special afternoon at The Grove School of Cary!

We served refreshments of fresh cut strawberries, ladyfingers and lemonade.  Each classroom had a special project planned for the event including planting flowers in recycled baby food jars, recycled jewelry making, recycled sun catchers, and recycled cardboard picture frame decorating.  Thank you to all the lovely ladies that attended!

Every month, a classroom at The Grove School of Cary features a book for our monthly book club.  For April, the Apple Grove (one of our 4-5 year old classrooms) did a project on Growing Vegetable Soup by Lois Ehlert.

After enjoying the colorful pictures and familiar text of the book, students examined fresh root vegetables like beets, carrots, potatoes and radishes from the Farmer’s Market!  Students learned that root vegetables grow beneath the soil.  Students then discussed and illustrated the root vegetables they would like to grow this year in our outdoor Grove garden!

Our third “Outdoor Education in the Grove” entry is brought to you by our 3-4 year old students of the Orange Grove and their teachers Ms. Sarah and Ms. Kenisha.

What’s more fun than digging in dirt?  Playing with worms!  In addition to the worm farm that the Orange Grove created for their classroom, students discovered worms in our compost and our garden beds and had a blast measuring them all!

Here at the Grove School of Cary, we celebrate young children each and every day, but this week, we showed our support for NAEYC (the National Association for the Education of Young Children) by celebrating ‘The Week of the Young Child.’

“The Week of the Young Child™ is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world’s largest early childhood education association, with nearly 80,000 members and a network of over 300 local, state, and regional Affiliates.

The purpose of the Week of the Young Child™ is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

NAEYC first established the Week of the Young Child™ in 1971, recognizing that the early childhood years (birth through age 8) lay the foundation for children’s success in school and later life. The Week of the Young Child™ is a time to plan how we—as citizens of a community, of a state, and of a nation—will better meet the needs of all young children and their families.” (naeyc.org)

Here at the Grove, we are thankful for the love and light our young children give to us each and every day!!
