We're looking for rare individuals. Teachers with degrees in early childhood or environmental education and a fire in the belly to make a difference. • We hold our school to the highest safety, cleanliness and maintenance standards. The building is accessible via a single-entry security system with keypad access. There's daily sign in and out for each child. And we follow strict parent/guardian identification procedures. We also regularly inspect our building and playground to ensure that your child is safe and secure with us.

  • We designed our playground to appeal to your child’s boundless curiosity. There’s a greenhouse and raised beds for growing flowers and vegetables. Outdoor instruments like drums and marimbas for creating an imaginary band. A stage for putting on plays. And sand and shallow water areas for digging and making sand castles. All of our outdoor activities balance teacher-led instruction with plenty of free play.

  • The Grove School's building was deliberately redesigned to foster increased learning while being environmentally conscious. We use natural light wherever possible, which improves concentration and conserves energy. Recycled rubber flooring, sustainably harvested materials and low-VOC paint make the school a healthy place to learn while reducing our impact on the planet. We also filter both the air and water.

Dear Grove Families,

For the last couple of months we have worked quite a bit on nature awareness and the children have become very interested in how we can help and protect animals.

We talked about the different ways animals live – i.e. in the circus, as pets, on the farm, in zoos, in the wild….and that ALL animals should and want to be treated with respect.  We also thought about how we can help animals in need such as: adopting pets from a shelter,  taking injured wild animals to the wild life rehab center, or helping to find the owner of a lost pet.

I told the kids about my trip to an animal farm sanctuary and an animal assisted school for kids and animals in need in upstate NY.  We thought it might be nice to help those animals with some “pocket money” so that they can finally enjoy a nice life and healthy food.  Since we have a Monday afternoon circus class that is animal friendly, we also decided to support a beautiful village for “retired” circus elephants that had a very hard life.

We came up with the idea of an “Art for the Animals” project and started to get into animal paintings, drawings and sculpture work to raise money for our animal friends.

In our lobby you can visit our little art gallery and can ‘adopt’ any artwork you like (preferably the work of your child) for a small donation and pick it up on the end of the exhibition. We will put a sign on the ‘animals’ that found a good home!

Please have a look at the homepages of these three special organizations:

The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee- http://www.elephants.com/

Animal Farm Sanctuary- http://www.farmsanctuary.org

Green Chimneys- http://www.greenchimneys.org

We will collect all donations in a little treasure box in the lobby that the children decorated. Everything collected will be split between the animal assisted school, the animal farm sanctuary, and the village for mistreated circus elephants. At the end of the project, the children will send a letter with pictures of our art work to each of the rescue organizations.  It is not about collecting a lot of money, but about an awareness of animals in need and that everybody can help!

I think it is very important that children learn to care about all living things and I am happy that the kids care so much about our environment and supporting animals in need!

Thank you for your support and enjoy the little exhibition!
